About Studio Reference

Custom ear monitors are premised on stage use in concerts, and in recent years, their use in music production processes ranging from recording, mixing and mastering has been widespread.

In order to provide more accurate monitoring in these studio uses, with the cooperation of Yuji Sugiyama, Dub Master X, and other professional users, we aimed to expand the high frequency range of FitEar MH334 and MH335DW and improve the mid-low frequency resolution. I did the setup.

I have been using the FitEar MH335DW in studios and live recordings for several years. Thanks to the double woofer and excellent sound insulation performance, it prevents the volume of the monitor from being excessively raised even during severe recording next to the stage or on the FOH side, etc., and has also been free from tinnitus after recording.

I participated in the development of this Studio Reference with feedback on sound quality and ideas for parts. Aiming to be a “monitor that can be used to check the mix”, it has become a more user-friendly monitor with improved resolution at the volume level used in ordinary studios as well as at high volumes in live.
